Our Attitude

We are to have Christ-like attitudes. In Philippians, Paul says in chapter 2:5, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus..." There are some translations of that verse that actually say, "Your attitude needs to be like that of Christ's." But if you take a step back and look at your life and your general attitude towards life - would you say that it was the same attitude that Christ had? - Most of the time, probably not. In fact, it's usually very easy to have a "bad attitude."

Having a Godly attitude is something that is very important in being a disciple of Christ. If we have a bad attitude about something, it reflects in everything we do! - Think about how true that is.

Again in Philippians, Paul tells us in chapter 2:14 "Do all things without complaining or disputing..." As Americans in the 21st century, we're pretty good at complaining - wouldn't you agree?

Our attitude is something that we definitely need to have control over. If we don't get control over our attitude, it affects the way we worship - which I will talk about more tomorrow.

Check your attitude each day - make sure that it's an attitude that displays Christ to others.
